Sanjay Dutt Insists Bollywood Should Start Making Films Like ‘Sholay’ And ‘Zanjeer’ Again

Ever since the announcement of Sanjay Dutt’s pivotal role in ‘KGF Chapter 2’, the seasoned actor is once again in the limelight these days. His first look as the fierce Adheera, the mighty antagonist of ‘KGF 2’ stunned his fans. Dutt himself is actively taking part in the film’s promotion drive. During a recent media interaction, the popular actor was asked about his views on the changing scenario of film content and the audience reaction. Sanjay promptly answered that the mass entertainers will always be relevant despite changing trends. According to him, films packed with action stunts and heroism will never get stereotyped. The versatile actor also feels Bollywood should go back to its roots and take inspiration from commercial potboilers such as ‘Sholay’ and ‘Zanjeer’ alongside his own movies like ‘Vaastav: The Reality’ and ‘Khal Nayak’. Sanjay suggests Bollywood filmmakers should start making films like these all-time hits. When asked about his experience of working with young generation actors such as Ranbir Kapoor in his upcoming film ‘Shamshera’ Sanjay Dutt said that these actors are hardworking and focused, so it’s a wonderful experience to work with them. During the same interview, he was also asked if he was okay with playing romantic characters opposite younger actresses and the seasoned actor insisted that actors should come to terms with their age. Meanwhile, Sanjay’s next ‘KGF 2’ is set to release on April 14 and it stars Yash, Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt as leads while Prakash Raj, Malvika Avinash, and Achyuth Kumar will be seen in key roles. This much-talked-about sequel will also be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
